CJ Landry writes stories for readers who like their fiction a little dark, a little strange, and occasionally covered in blood.

An indie author with an enthusiastic disregard for staying in one genre, CJ writes everything from psychological thrillers and feminist revenge to paranormal romance, dark comedy, and whatever other questionable idea refuses to leave her alone.

Her stories tend to orbit complicated women, morally flexible decisions, monsters who may or may not be the actual monsters, and the deeply satisfying consequences of underestimating the wrong person. She firmly believes happily-ever-after is negotiable, villains deserve good dialogue, and sometimes murder really does solve the plot.

Based in East Tennessee, CJ spends an unreasonable amount of time creating fictional problems for fictional people, collecting new projects before finishing the old ones, and insisting that sharks will eventually evolve to breathe on land and kill us all.

When she isn’t writing, she’s usually building something else—because apparently having one creative obsession at a time would be too easy.
